Position overview
Head Quality Assurance (HeadQA) plays driving role in university’s quality journey. HeadQA will lead, manage and coordinate university’s compliance to various accreditations such as NAAC, AISHE etc. HeadQA will also lead internal audits of the constituent institutes, departments and centres to monitor compliance with SIU and requirements of regulating bodies. This is a leadership role and requires strong ability to delegate and monitor work and collaborate with internal as well as external stakeholders of the university.

This position is based at Lavale, Pune campus of SIU.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Will lead and drive SIU’s compliance with NAAC, AISHE and other national and international accreditation requirements.
- Will be member secretary of university’s IQAC and will make sure that meetings are scheduled, agendas sent, actions reported, minutes maintained and outcomes communicated.
- Will supervise operations of Quality Improvement Cells (QICs) at SIU constituent institutes and university departments and ensure that QICs operate at the university’s expected standards.
- Will implement, update and execute various SIU systems including Faculty Information System (FIS), Monthly Information System (MIS) and Department Information System (DIS).
- Will collaborate with Head Data Centre in understanding needs of constituent institutes for designing new IT systems and updating the existing systems.
- Will play a lead role in the initiation, development and implementation of major institutional projects and reviews.
- Will monitor changes to the national regulatory framework for QA, and more general developments in the higher education sector and propose actions to be taken by the University in response.
- Will provide suggestions and guidance in order to protect quality and standards at SIU.
- Will lead successful implementation of institute’s monitoring mechanisms including Outcome Metrics and Performance Indicators (OMPI) and Symbiosis Atmanirbhar Index (SAI).
- Will closely work with Director QMB to ensure that there are appropriate academic structures and policies in place that enable SIU to implement its academic strategy, its obligations to its students and ensure to protect reputation of SIU and is compliant with external academic quality assurance, regulatory and legal frameworks.

- You are qualified to be appointed at appropriate academic/ administrative position as per UGC and university requirements.
